2 Charged in Puppy Burglary: Baltimore County Police

Two Baltimore City men have been charged in the burglary of a deaf pit bull puppy named "Thor," who was taken from his Timonium home last month, the Baltimore County Police Department reported Wednesday.

Mark Tyrone Gibson, 37, of the 800 block of N. Broadway Street, and William Terrell Hudson, 33, of the 4300 block of Roberton Avenue, have been charged with first-degree burglary and theft from $1,000 to under $10,000, police said.

Gibson and Hudson were arrested Tuesday after they made arrangements to sell Thor back to his owner in the parking lot of the White Marsh Mall, according to a report from police, who took the men into custody in mall parking lot.

Thor was safely returned to the victim, police said. According to ABC 2 News, the puppy's all white coat was dirty and the owner said "it seems like he was kept outside."

The burglary unit continues to investigate the incident, according to police, who said not all items have been recovered.

Officers initially responded to the victim's apartment in the 2400 block of Chetwood Circle in Timonium on March 13 for a reported burglary, police said.

Between 3:45 p.m. and 11:28 p.m. that day, someone got into the apartment through a sliding glass door and took electronics and the 13-week-old deaf pit bull puppy, according to the report. While Thor was returned Tuesday, police said the other items have not been found.

A MacBook Pro laptop and PlayStation were stolen in the burglary in addition to the puppy, according to The Baltimore Sun.

Hudson and Gibson are each being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center on $20,000 bail, police said.
