• 6 Hospitalized After Possible Mercury Exposure In Baltimore Co.: Report (patch.com) — Residents in Lutherville faced a hazardous situation when at least six people were hospitalized following a possible mercury spill on the 8600 block of Tower Bridge Way. Baltimore County Fire, along with state environmental and county health officials, responded to assess and manage the contamination risk in the neighborhood.
   

• U.S. Senior Am: Trae Cassell medals; defending champ out; match-play begins (usatoday.com) — A major USGA championship is underway at Baltimore Country Club in Lutherville, where Trae Cassell has earned the top seed after finishing 5 under in stroke play. Nearly 50 Golfweek senior amateur regulars are in the 156-player field, with match play running through Thursday to decide the U.S. Senior Amateur champion.
