
Adelberg, Rudow, Dorf & Hendler, LLC (ARD&H) has announced that associate Robert M. Horne, was named vice chairman of the new Estates & Trust Committee of the Bar Association of Baltimore City (BABC), which will serve Baltimore's active probate, guardianship and estate controversy practices.
With enthusiasm by local Estates & Trusts attorneys, this committee was formed to 1) create a forum for the exchange of ideas and experiences relating to probate administration, controversy and guardianship practice in the Baltimore City Orphans’ Court and Register of Wills; 2) to facilitate interaction among the bar, Orphans’ Court and Register of Wills, and 3) to discuss and educate others regarding topics relevant to the estate and trusts practitioner in Baltimore City.
Focusing his practice in the areas of tax, estates and trusts and business transactions, Horne helps small business owners, entrepreneurs and professionals create, implement and execute estate and business succession plans. He also counsels personal representatives and trustees and beneficiaries throughout the estate and/or trust administration process, and consults with ARD&H’s litigation department in will, estate and trust disputes.

Named a “Rising Star” in the estate planning and probate section of Maryland Super Lawyers annually from 2010 through 2013, Horne currently co-chairs the Maryland State Bar Association’s Wills, Trusts & Estates Subcommittee to the Special Committee on Voir Dire and is a member of the Baltimore Estate Planning Council.
Horne received a Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland School of Law and a bachelor’s degree in law and American civilization from Towson University. A Severna Park native, he now resides in Lutherville with his wife and two children.
