ShopRite of Timonium hosted the First Annual Shopping Cart Sweep to benefit the Maryland Food Bank. Last year the Maryland Food Bank distributed more than 23 million pounds of food and ShopRite of Timonium has rallied around them to assist in eradicating hunger in Maryland.
ShopRite of Timonium's First Annual Shopping Cart Sweep provided a fun and creative backdrop to bring attention to the need for food assistance in our area. Today, ShopRite of Timonium donated $500 to support the efforts of the Maryland Food Bank, and awarded over $1000 in groceries to four contestants.
Contestants were given four minutes to shop and invited to use coupons and their Price Plus Card to save the most on items in their cart.

The winner of ShopRite of Timonium's First Annual Shopping Cart Sweep was Debra Hitt from Towson! Debra received the contents of her cart, plus a $250 ShopRite Gift Card. ShopRite of Timonium is dedicated to supporting local communities and helping Maryland families save money and live better.
