It looks like Andrew Cuomo, in a rare moment of truthfulness, showed his true colors the other day, when he made his comment that โthe extreme conservatives, they haveย no place in the state of New Yorkโ. As a result, I believe that Gov. Cuomo and the state of New York will suffer greatly as a result of this belief, as there are many other states, notably Florida and Texas, that will welcome conservative-leaning, productive citizens to their states, which also have the added attraction of no state income taxes.
Also, I wondered what would be the response on the part of the media, if a Republican governor made such a statement about โextreme liberalsโ being unwelcome in a certain state. I can almost imagine every liberal news media organization featuring this story. And, I would expect that President Obama, ever vigilant, would direct his Attorney General Eric Holder to see if any liberalsโ civil rights were being violated as a result. But, if it affects conservatives, no one notices!
