Baltimore County Educational Video Game Honored

County school staff and Break Away games developed the "Perfect World" game.

A game inspired by students and developed by Baltimore County school staff game developer Break Away games has been selected one of the best โ€œserious gamesโ€ in the nation.

The game, titled โ€œPerfect World,โ€ was recognized during the Serious Game and Challenge Showcase that evaluate games designed to educate and train. It will be on display in December at the 2013 Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference in Orlando, Fla., according to a news release.

The game was developed from the idea of then-Woodlawn High School Students Rufus and Rachael Carter. The game puts players in the place of a water molecule and takes them on a journey through the water cycle, according to the school system.
