While ocular surface disease is a very common condition that can cause discomfort, irritation, redness, watery eyes, chronic pain, and even vision problems, many patients go undiagnosed and untreated for many years. Unfortunately, too many doctors are ignoring early signs of the disease and are not discussing these issues with their patients. Additionally, ocular surface disease may be associated with other systemic health issues such as diabetes, autoimmune diseases, and thyroid disease. As ocular surface disease progresses, irreversible damage can occur without any symptoms to patients. At the Dry Eye Center of Maryland, our philosophy is focused on early diagnosis and management, while also understanding how frustrating and debilitating this condition can be for many. At Dry Eye Center of Maryland, we understand how frustrating this condition can be, and we are dedicated to providing our patients with the relief they need.
At Dry Eye Center of Maryland, we believe that patient education is a critical part of achieving optimal eye health. That’s why we take the time to explain your condition and treatment options, so you can make informed decisions about your care.

If you are experiencing symptoms of dry eye, such as dryness, irritation, or redness, contact us today to schedule an appointment. We are here to help you achieve optimal eye health and vision.
