Donna Fost Joins the Alzheimer's Association
Award-winning social worker becomes the non-profit's education coordinator

Timonium, Md. –The Alzheimer’s Association Greater Maryland Chapter has hired Donna McClintock Fost, LCSW-C as its education coordinator.
Fost, who has worked in health care specializing in geriatric services since 2003, will oversee the implementation of quality education programs to health professionals, family members, volunteers and the general public in Garrett County.
She also will strive to create greater public awareness of the Alzheimer’s Association and its resources among health care providers, community organizations and faith-based organizations in these communities.

“I have walked the Alzheimer’s journey with my mother, who passed away in 2008, and was a support group leader in Garrett County for 24 years,” Fost said. “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with my community to provide education and resources on this disease.”
A member of the Garrett County Women’s Hall of Fame, Fost was previously named Social Worker of the Year by the Garrett & Allegany Social Work Caucus and Woman of the Year by Business Professional Women’s Organization-Garrett County Chapter. She also has been listed in Who’s Who in Human Service Professionals.

Fost earned a bachelor’s degree from Frostburg State University and an MSW from West Virginia University, and later returned to Frostburg as an adjunct instructor in sociology. An active member of the National Association of Social Workers, she previously chaired the Garrett County AIDS Council and the Garrett County American Cancer Society Leadership Council.
