COCKEYSVILLE/HUNT VALLEY, MD. – Continuing a long-standing fall tradition in Maryland, a giant pumpkin will be placed on display promptly at 10AM this Wednesday, September 30 at Valley View Farms. The huge pumpkin is named Action Jackson and weighs a hefty one thousand eight hundred and twenty-two pounds. 
With unique coloring that looks like early morning leaves painted on its surface, Action Jackson appears to be a truly magic pumpkin.
Action Jackson will remain on display until noon on Halloween, Saturday, October 31st.At that time, the giant pumpkin will be cut open and its seeds will be counted. The first person to guess the correct number of seeds contained in the giant pumpkin will win a $300 Valley View Farms’ Gift Card. Contest entries can be submitted at any time up until the seed counting begins.
Valley View Farms is widely known as Maryland’s Fall Headquarters, with thousands of pumpkins of all sizes, plus every other type of fall decoration imaginable, including unique gourds, decorative corn and corn fodder, and colorful mums and pansies. There is a free straw maze for kids, plus a Department 56 Halloween display and the International Christmas Shop, with holiday treasures from around the world.
Valley View Farms is located on York Road in Cockeysville/Hunt Valley.
