According to the 2011 Maryland Census, there are more than 530,000 Marylanders living below the federal poverty level. To address this growing need, the ShopRite of Timonium will host a Shopping Cart Sweep on Wednesday, October 10 to benefit the Maryland Food Bank.
Shopping Cart Sweep contestants will race up and down designated ShopRite aisles to get as much product into their shopping carts as they can within a 4-minute timeframe. All contestants will keep the contents of their shopping carts, and the winner will also receive a ShopRite gift card in the amount of $250. The ShopRite of Timonium will partner with the Maryland Food Bank by matching the contents of the winning contestant’s cart, as well as a gift card donation of equal value.
