Evacuation Sparked By Gas Leak Near Timonium: Officials

LUTHERVILLE-TIMONIUM, MD — Fire officials said that a gas leak prompted an evacuation Tuesday morning near Timonium. The leak was secured within a few hours, according to the Baltimore County Fire Department.

At 11:25 a.m., crews were dispatched to the 8600 block of Tower Bridge Way for the gas leak.

Officials said several residences were evacuated as a precaution.

By 2:40 p.m., authorities gave the all-clear, declaring the area was free of natural gas, and residents were allowed to return to their homes.
