Man Charged in Owings Mills Metro Station Stabbing
An argument over a cigarette prompted the stabbing, Baltimore County police reported.

An Owings Mills man has been charged in a stabbing that happened Friday night at the Owings Mills Metro station, according to police.
At 9:41 p.m. on Friday, police said Wilbeck Stewart, 52, of the 100 block of Enchanted Hills Road, got off a train at the metro station when another man approached him and the two argued over a cigarette, leading to a physical fight.
During the fight at the metro station in the 5000 block of Painters Mill Road, Stewart stabbed the victim, according to a report from the Baltimore County Police Department.

The victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, police said.
Stewart has been charged with first-degree assault and attempted second-degree murder, online court records show. He is being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center, according to police. He is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing in Baltimore County District Court on Sep. 26.
