NKF-MD's Jessica Quintilian Joins Living Legacy Foundation Governing Board
Transplantation is a key focus area for this long-time healthcare, non-profit veteran
LUTHERVILLE, Md. – The National Kidney Foundation of Maryland (NKF-MD) has announced that Programs and Advocacy Director Jessica Quintilian was appointed to a three-year term on the Living Legacy Foundation of Maryland’s Governing Board of Trustees.
“Organ and tissue donation helps others by giving them a second chance at life,” Quintilian said. “I am delighted to represent NKF-MD on the governing board of such a wonderful organization, and look forward to joining with the Living Legacy Foundation to further advance their mission.”
Transplantation is a key focus area for Quintilian through her work at NKF-MD, as well as her service to the Maryland Health Care Commission work group for updating the State Health Plan chapter for organ transplant services.

Since 2013, she has led NKF-MD’s staff in developing an affiliate-wide strategic plan for programs/ patient services and advocacy. She also manages the organization’s medical advisory board, as well as its patient and community services standing committee and subcommittees.
Bringing a combined 20 years of experience in the healthcare field, 14 of which have been in non-profit organizations, Quintilian previously served as assistant executive director of the American Academy of Home Care Physicians, outreach and education director at The Society for Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, education and training coordinator for the Maryland Traumatic Brain Injury Implementation Project, health and wellness education director at Quest Fitness, clinical coordinator at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and assistant to the vice president of managed care at Health Management Resources.

After graduating summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in health science/community health education from Towson University, she completed graduate coursework in health communication at The Johns Hopkins University School of Hygiene and Public Health, as well as the requirements to become a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES).
