NKF-MD's Pattie Dash Makes Daily Record's Top 100 Women List
Nonprofit veteran recognized for professional accomplishments, community service and mentoring.
LUTHERVILLE, Md. – Patricia “Pattie” Dash, vice president of mission advancement for the National Kidney Foundation of Maryland (NKF-MD), was named to The Daily Record's 2016 Listing of Maryland's Top 100 Women.
Approximately 350 women were nominated this year for the statewide honor, which recognizes “exemplary citizens, committed to their communities, creating change and growing the next generation of leaders through mentoring," according to Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, publisher of The Daily Record.
The Top 100 Women will be recognized at an awards ceremony, Apr. 18 at Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall. They also will be profiled in a special magazine, to be included in The Daily Record’s Apr. 19 edition and available online at www.TheDailyRecord.com.

"I am honored to be included among such a distinguished group of women and I look forward to continuing to give back to the community,” said Dash, who resides in Hanover, Pa. with her husband, Richard.

A 32-year non-profit veteran, Dash provides strategic vision and collaborative leadership to increase NKF-MD’s annual revenue from special events, program grants and other funding sources. In addition to overseeing the Foundation’s programs and services, Dash oversees and direct special events, serves as the point person for advocacy and marketing initiatives, and oversees IT functions.
“Pattie Dash exemplifies a Top 100 Woman. She has risen through the ranks of the nonprofit industry, all along the way serving as a mentor and advocate for girls and women,” said Traci Barnett, NKF-MD’s president and chief executive officer. “Her work with nonprofits has made a difference in so many lives and her expertise in nonprofit management has made her a tremendous asset to the National Kidney Foundation of Maryland.”
Dash joined NKF-MD in 2015 after spending her entire career with Girl Scouts of Central Maryland (GCSM). She started in 1983 as an intern and steadily moved up to retail sales manager, business manager, operations manager, chief administrative officer, membership/volunteerism/programs senior vice president, strategy vice president and chief development officer.
Along the way, she led and motivated teams comprising more than 40 employees and 300 key volunteers, and managed product sales and fund development exceeding $5 million in revenue. GSCM also honored her with its Daisy Award, Appreciation Pin and Excellent Manager/Community Leader Award.
Active in the Greater Baltimore Committee, Association of Fundraising Professionals and Maryland Chamber of Commerce, Dash graduated from the Network2000 Mentoring Program and earned a Certificate of Non- Profit Management from the Mandel Center for Non Profit Organizations - Case Western Reserve University.
She also completed professional development training in preparing successful grant proposals at Indiana University’s Center of Philanthropy, as well as strategic learning, retail management, product sales management, outcomes management, human resources management, facilities & property and risk management, membership, volunteerism and program management at the Edith Macy Conference Center.
