1 Hospitalized from Towson Town Center Incident: Officials

A 'possible irritant' was reported at the mall in Towson Tuesday night, Baltimore County public safety officials said.

TOWSON, MD – One person was hospitalized as the result of what officials called an "irritant" at Towson Town Center Tuesday evening.

At 8:51 p.m., Baltimore County public safety officials reported there was a "possible irritant" in the area of the mall, located in the 800 block of Dulaney Valley Road.

There was no hazardous material involved, officials said, and hazmat crews were clearing the scene after 9 p.m.

Baltimore County Fire Department personnel remained in the vicinity, and citizens were asked to avoid the area.
