27 Burglaries In Stoneleigh, Rodgers Forge Reported

Police said multiple burglaries and robberies were reported in the Towson precinct.

TOWSON, MD - There have been 27 burglaries or attempted burglaries in Rodgers Forge and Stoneleigh in the past week, police say. The nearly 30 cases in those neighborhoods have been reported at residences since Friday, July 28, according to police. Many occurred between midnight and 8 a.m.

In the burglaries, the suspect(s) tried to get in by removing or lifting window screens, police said, then took laptops, purses, wallets, keys, cell phones, money and in one instance, a vehicle.

In addition to the burglaries, there were a handful of robberies in the Towson precinct in recent days.

America's Best Wings in the 800 block of Taylor Avenue was robbed at gunpoint at 8:32 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 1. Cash was stolen from the cashier's backpack and from the registers at the restaurant.

Two people robbed 7-Eleven in the 8600 block of Pleasant Plains Road at 11:12 p.m. on Sunday, July 30. The clerk, who believed they had a weapon, hid while the suspects took cigarettes and the cash drawer.

Exxon in the 800 block of York Road was robbed by two armed individuals on foot at 12:50 a.m. on Sunday, July 30.

Two juveniles were robbed of their cell phones by several people at 7:20 p.m. on Saturday, July 29, in the area of Anneslie and Banbury roads.Three of the suspects were apprehended.

There was a burglary at the stadium press box at Goucher College in the 1000 block of Dulaney Valley Road. At 8:45 p.m., three suspects got into the press box through an unlocked window, but it was unclear whether anything was taken.
