5 Armed Robberies: Towson Police Blotter

Police said three people and two businesses were robbed at gunpoint in the past two weeks in Towson.

TOWSON, MD — In the past two weeks, police said there have been multiple robberies in Towson.

Two of the robberies were noted in the Baltimore County Police Department's weekly crime trends report. Police said the street robberies happened Tuesday, Feb. 18, and involved similar methods:

  • Three people robbed a man at gunpoint in the 8000 block of York Road. The armed robbery happened at 9:47 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 18. Afterward, the trio took off in a vehicle.
  • Three suspects — two of them armed — approached individuals at the intersection of Maryland Avenue and Aigburth Road at 9:40 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 18. After the armed robbery, the suspects left in a getaway vehicle driven by a fourth suspect.

A man tried to break into a residence in the unit block of Burkleigh Road by slamming his body against the door. He did not get inside. The burglary attempt occurred at 7:12 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 15.

A man was robbed at gunpoint of his credit card at the bus stop in the 8500 block of Loch Raven Boulevard. The robbery happened at 5:20 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 15.

Little Caesars in the 6300 block of York Road was robbed. The suspect threatened employees and stole cash at 7:26 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 14.

Three suspects went into the IHOP and robbed people of cash at gunpoint in the 6800 block of Loch Raven Boulevard. The robbery happened at 6:13 a.m. on Feb. 12.

A vehicle and two sets of car keys were stolen from Rijen Automotive in the 8600 block of Loch Raven Boulevard. The burglary occurred at 2:47 a.m. on Feb. 12 after the suspects got in through a garage door.

DXL Big + Tall in the 800 block of Goucher Boulevard was burglarized at 3:28 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 10.

A hotel room in the 8700 block of Loch Raven Boulevard was burglarized while someone was in it. A purse and cell phone were stolen at 5:35 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 9.
