For 50th Birthday, GBMC Asks for Personal Stories

GBMC was founded 50 years ago and has planned a series of events culminating in a gala on Oct. 2, the day the medical center first opened in 1965.

To mark the milestone, GBMC has created a special 50th anniversary website.

“We often say that almost everyone has some type of personal GBMC story,” Vice President of Philanthropy Jenny Coldiron said. “There has never been a better time than now for...people to share those stories with us. Collectively, they are helping us to gain an even deeper understanding of the many lives that have been touched or even saved at GBMC, and how much we have to celebrate at this milestone point in our history.”

Leading up to the Oct. 2 gala at the Baltimore Convention Center, GBMC officials say there are eight months of recognitions and events planned.
