American Cancer Society Announces Maryland Relay For Life Events

Volunteer, attend, honor, celebrate and help ACS attack cancer from all angles! Find a Relay near you!

The American Cancer Society is proud to announce that community-led and college campus Relay For Life events are planned across Maryland from March through June 2018. Cancer survivors, their family members, friends, caregivers and the public are invited to join together with the American Cancer Society to raise funds and awareness in an effort to free the world from the pain and suffering of cancer by participating, volunteering, fundraising or sponsoring Relay For Life. Volunteers help with planning, fundraising, set up, promotion and marketing, securing sponsors, organizing a cancer survivor reception, opening ceremonies, event logistics, security and entertainment.

“Whether you can offer a few hours or help throughout spring and the day of the Relay, the American Cancer Society has a role for you to become involved in this community movement to help the Society attack cancer from all angles. Relay for Life is moving and uplifting, in addition to being a lot of fun and providing support to cancer survivors and their loved ones,” says Beth Garbolino, senior manager of community development for the American Cancer Society, Maryland. “We celebrate cancer patients in treatment, honor survivors, remember those lost and fight back against cancer.” For more information or to visit individual Relays, see www.Relayforlife.org.
