BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — A hazmat incident was recorded late Thursday in White Hall after a car struck the top of an underground tank.
A release by the Baltimore County Police Department said the incident happened on the 1300 block of Bernoudy Road around 6:30 p.m.
Emergency personnel from the Maryland Department of the Environment and the Baltimore County Fire hazmat team were called to the scene after an active propane leak was detected.
No injuries or public hazards to the community were reported by officials.
Authorities said the valve damaged by the sedan was located on the top of a 500-gallon tank. First responders later cleared the site around 7:30 p.m.
No details were provided on how the car managed to damage the tank.
