Hemp Vending Machine Under Investigation In Baltimore County: Report

A debate is bubbling in Baltimore County over whether a Lutherville hemp vending machine is considered legal, according to a report.

LUTHERVILLE, MD — A vending machine in Baltimore County has caught the attention of state investigators concerned with the level of THC in its hemp products.

Tetrahydrocannabinol, more popularly known as THC, is the cannabinoid associated with the "high" that marijuana causes in users. In Maryland, any products sold that exceed 0.5 mg of THC require proper licensing.

Jeffrey Kelly, executive director of the Maryland Alcohol, Tobacco and Cannabis Commission, told WBAL that hemp products could far exceed the 0.5 mg limit.
