Both charges stem from the fatal shooting of 32-year-old India Johnson, who was pronounced dead on Aug. 2 in the unit block of Treeway Court.

Documents reviewed by Fox 45 state Burnett was connected to the murder through witness statements, motor vehicle records, cellphone data and surveillance footage.

The outlet reported Johnson and Burnett were fighting before the shooting, and that Johnson's son messaged his aunt to have her call the police. At the home, authorities found the son, his sister and a cousin hiding in a bedroom.

Court records show Burnett remains held without bond. A bail hearing is scheduled for Wednesday.
