Authorities said the shooting occurred Aug. 29, shortly after 4 a.m. on the unit block of Solar Circle in Parkville.

At the scene, officers found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to a lower extremity that appeared to be non-life-threatening, police said. He was later hospitalized.

Investigators previously said in a release that they believe the two individuals had known one another, although no motive was detailed.

Court records show Hatcher was charged with six offenses, two of which were felonies. Those charges include first-degree attempted murder and first- and second-degree assault, among other gun-related misdemeanors.

Hatcher remains held without bond. A preliminary court hearing in the case is scheduled for Sept. 25.
