TOWSON, MD — The University of Maryland Medical System broke ground last week on a $110 million outpatient care center in Towson, with an opening planned for spring 2028.
The four-story University of Maryland Center for Outpatient Care is being built on a former parking lot at the University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center campus.
The roughly 112,000-square-foot facility will bring together surgical, specialty, rehabilitation and primary care services. It will include two separate outpatient surgery centers, pediatric specialty care, infusion services and treatment for diabetes and endocrine conditions.
The project will consolidate and expand existing outpatient services, according to the medical system. Plans also include 340 parking spaces.
