Assault At Towson High School: Towson Crime

Four robberies, four attempts and other crimes were reported in Towson recently, according to Baltimore County police

TOWSON, MD — The Baltimore County Police Department has provided the following information about recent incidents in the Towson area. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Three commercial burglaries in the Towson and Parkville precincts are being investigated as related. Money and cigarettes were taken in the burglaries, which have occurred since March 20. In one case, front door glass was broken.

Someone tried unsuccessfully to rob Royal Farms in the 6000 block of Falls Road at 11:21 p.m. on March 20.

There was also an attempted robbery at the 7-Eleven in the 6300 block of Sherwood Road between approximately 8 and 11 p.m., but the store was locked.

Two youths assaulted another juvenile at Towson High School at 2 p.m. on March 20. They stole the victim's backpack, which contained cash and personal items, during the robbery in the unit block of Cedar Avenue.

Cigarettes and an undetermined amount of money were stolen in a burglary at the Quick Mart in the 6500 block of Loch Hill Road. The front door was shattered, setting off the alarm, at 5:51 a.m. on March 20.

Three strangers assaulted and robbed a woman walking on Loch Raven Boulevard at Aberdeen Road at 1:25 a.m. on March 18.

Two suspects tried and failed to break into an ATM in the 6300 block of York Road. The burglary attempt happened at 1 a.m. on March 18.

Two tools and several large toolboxes were stolen from a construction trailer in the 6400 block of York Road. The burglary happened between 5 p.m. on March 17 and 6:30 a.m. on March 20 at the Kinsley Construction site, where the office had been ransacked.

A pair who tried to rob the Gulf gas station in the 8600 block of Loch Raven Boulevard ran away when police arrived at the scene. The robbery attempt occurred at 11 p.m. on March 16 in the 8600 block of Loch Raven Boulevard.

Two people were assaulted by multiple individuals at 6:20 p.m. on March 13. The assailants tried to take a cell phone from the victims in the 1200 block of Putty Hill Avenue.

Two people who knew one another were arguing in the unit block of Willow Avenue when one person showed a handgun. The other individual walked into the home at the location, and the suspect left. The argument occurred at 11 p.m. on March 11.

A man was assaulted and robbed in the 7900 block of Knollwood Road. The suspect demanded property from the victim, who handed over cash and his cell phone. The robbery occurred at 10:45 p.m. on March 11.

A glass door panel was broken at a home in the 6300 block of Blenheim Road. It did not seem as though anyone entered the residence. The burglary attempt was reported at 11:30 a.m. on March 11.

A man was arrested in connection with a robbery at Lakeshore Learning Store in the 1600 block of East Joppa Road. The suspect demanded cash from the employee, ran away and was later apprehended. The cash was recovered. The robbery occurred at 6:45 p.m. on March 10.

The attempted robber at Beav's Smoke Shop in the 1600 block of East Joppa Road was arrested. The robbery attempt, in which the suspect demanded money and assaulted someone at the store, occurred at 6:37 p.m. on March 10.

Cash and a safe were stolen from the Ruxton Service Center in the 7500 block of Bellona Avenue. The suspect(s) broke a window to get in at 4:30 a.m. on March 2.
