Assistance Center of Towson Churches' Transformation

ACTC's transformation has entered the home stretch, with volunteers working feverishly to reach the finish line in time to open for business beginning Monday, December 16. By the end of Week 25 that started November 23, the painting was done, floors were polished, and cabinets were hung with care. By Week 26, starting Saturday, November 30, it was beginning to look a lot like -  the end was within reach. (I must have Christmas on my mind.) Sounds of "where's my razor knife" and "where's my screwdriver" filled the air as the team of five continued the arduous tasks of assembling and installing storage racks and shelves and more cabinets.

Moving day begins Saturday, December 7 and the center, except for homeless services at Prologue, will be closed through Friday, December 13. The center plans to reopen in its wonderful new facility at 120 W. Pennsylvania Ave. on Monday, December 16 and operate, except for the holidays (December 23, 24 and 25), on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays until the end of this year. Its regular schedule of full service operating five days is expected to resume Thursday, January 2. What a grand way to start the new year!

Watch for information about the rededication set for Sunday, January 26.
