Assistance Center of Towson Churches Launches Successful Thanksgiving Basket Project
The Assistance Center of Towson Churches collects 2,200 prepacked bags of food for distribution to low income families.
The results of ACTC’s ”Thanksgiving Basket” project will brighten this Thanksgiving Day for many families that might otherwise go without. On Friday, November 20, Hunt Valley Church delivered 372 orange bags filled with Thanksgiving dinner fixings, helping to bring the final total of bags being collected by the Assistance Center from other churches, schools, clubs, organizations and individuals to 2,200. For its 27th annual “Thanksgiving Basket” project, ACTC will distribute these prepacked bags on Monday, November 23 and Tuesday, November 24 from Memorial Hall of Trinity Episcopal Church, 120 W. Allegheny Ave., to low income families mostly within its service area, as well as to other agencies that serve those in need.
