Thanks to the Assistance Center of Towson Churches (ACTC) and its annual “Thanksgiving Basket” project, hundreds of needy people will be able to enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving dinner.
Pledges have been made and donors will be filling bags with specified ingredients. As a convenient alternative, pre-packed, reusable bags are available to be purchased for as little at $23 from four local grocery stores. (See the stores—including the York Road Giant across from the Drumcastle Center in Towson—as well as ingredient lists here.)

Last year 2,750 bags were contributed. They were distributed to 800 families, as well as 10 organizations and agencies. Once again, eligible ACTC clients will receive a $10 gift card in their bag for purchasing a turkey, or one of the 20 frozen turkeys donated by GBMC.
To participate, call ACTC at 410-296-4855. For further information and to view contents of the bags, visit ACTC online.
