Bank Robbery, Apartment Burglaries, Armed Shoplifter: Towson Crime

Recent crimes reported in the Towson precinct include a bank robbery at the M&T branch on York Road.

TOWSON, MD — The Baltimore County Police Department provided the following information about recent incidents in the Towson precinct.

The M&T Bank in the unit block of York Road was robbed. Police said the suspect handed the teller a note at 12:50 p.m. on May 15, then left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

An apartment was burglarized in the 200 block of Donnybrook Lane. A computer, shoes and watches were stolen after someone pried the front door open. The burglary occurred between 3 p.m. on May 11 and 7:25 p.m. on May 14.

There was a break-in attempt at an apartment in the 7700 block of Greenview Terrace. Nothing was missing from the apartment, but the front door was damaged between 3 and 4:45 p.m. on May 11.

An arrest was made after a shoplifter pointed a knife at a loss prevention associate at Target in the 1200 block of Putty Hill Avenue. The suspect left the store afterward but was later taken into custody. The attempted assault occurred at 5:45 p.m. on May 4.
