Art is colorful, bold and thriving in northern Baltimore County thanks to the Hereford Branch's Artist-in-Residence program, now entering its third year. The program is made possible through the generous sponsorship from the Northern Baltimore County Art Foundation (NBCAF), an all-volunteer organization that promotes art awareness and education in northern Baltimore County.

Aligning with the library's mission to bring new and creative arts and cultural experiences to customers, the Hereford-NBCAF partnership provides visibility for local artists and the opportunity for customers to engage with the artists through residency hours and arts programming or workshops held in the branch's art and maker space, the Hive.

Artist Residencies

This year, four artists have been selected by a committee comprised of branch and NBCAF staff. Each artist will have a one-month residency starting this month.
