BCPS To Close 10 Schools On Wednesday, September 5

BREAKING: Baltimore County Public Schools announced heat-related closures for the second day in a row.

TOWSON, MD — For the second day in a row, Baltimore County Public Schools reports it will close several schools due to heat. The schools that are closed lack air-conditioning, officials say.

Temperatures are expected to remain in the 90s on Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service, on the heels of a heat advisory Tuesday with temperatures in the triple digits on the heat index.

The following schools and centers will be closed since they lack air-conditioning, Baltimore County Public Schools reported:

  • Campfield Early Learning Center
  • Catonsville Center for Alternative Studies
  • Bedford Elementary School
  • Berkshire Elementary School
  • Colgate Elementary School
  • Dundalk Elementary School
  • Dulaney High School
  • Lansdowne High School
  • Patapsco Center for the Arts
  • Woodlawn High School
