BCPS Revises Schedule For Monday, June 12

The change in schedule for the last week of classes affects high school students, according to Baltimore County Public Schools.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Baltimore County Public Schools has shaved three hours off the school year for high school students.

All schools will close three hours early on Monday, June 12, officials announced this week. Previously, the plan was for high school students to attend a full day of classes.

All schools will also close three hours early on Tuesday, June 13, which was previously announced.

This is the schedule for the last days of school in Baltimore County:

  • Friday, June 9 – Full day of classes. Last day for preschool-3 and prekindergarten students.
  • Monday, June 12 – All schools will close three hours early.
  • Tuesday, June 13 – Final day of classes. All schools will close three hours early.

For the 2017–2018 school year, the first day of classes for students will be Tuesday, Sept. 5.

There will be a special orientation called "Early Entry Day" for students entering sixth and ninth grades on Wednesday, Aug. 30; more information will be forthcoming from schools.
