BCPS Shifts Meal Distribution Plan Before Inclement Weather
Student meals in Baltimore County will be given Tuesday, Dec. 15, due to inclement weather in the forecast.
From Baltimore County Public Schools (BCPS): Due to expected inclement weather later this week, Baltimore County Public Schools will distribute free meals to students at more than 300 sites tomorrow, Tuesday, Dec. 15. Meals distributed on Tuesday, Dec. 15, are designed to last for three days (Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.)
BCPS will not distribute meals on Wednesday.
Next week, to accommodate winter break, BCPS will distribute three days' worth of free meals to students on Monday, Dec. 21, at all its meal distribution locations.

The BCPS Office of Food and Nutrition Services will close for winter break from Tuesday, Dec. 22, through Jan. 3 before resuming its regular Monday and Wednesday meal distribution schedule on Monday, Jan. 4.
Baltimore County government, which has been distributing meals on Saturday, will not distribute meals on Saturday, Dec. 26; however, it will share meals on Monday, Dec. 28, starting at 10 a.m. County government will resume its regular Saturday meal distribution on Saturday, Jan. 2.

For families needing additional assistance during the winter holiday season, Baltimore County government has shared a list of area food pantries. Families are encouraged to contact the food pantries for updates on food availability before visiting them.
