Bill Clinton To Visit Baltimore County Library On Monday

The former president is making two stops on his trip, one in Baltimore City and another in Baltimore County.

BALTIMORE, MD — Former POTUS Bill Clinton is going to be in the Baltimore area on Monday, Oct. 30. During his visit, Clinton will appear at a literacy event in Baltimore County and an opioid summit in Baltimore City.

His trip was designed to highlight programs supported by the Clinton Foundation. On Monday, he will visit sites in Baltimore; on Tuesday, he will be in Florida; and on Wednesday, he will be in St. Louis, Missouri.

The visit in Baltimore County will be at the Sollers Point branch of Baltimore County Public Library on Monday afternoon. At 2:30 p.m., Clinton will dedicate "Talking is Teaching" panels at the branch on Sollers Point Road in Dundalk. The panels feature conversation starters that will help parents engage in educational ways with their little ones about things like shapes and colors.

The Sollers Point branch will be the first library in the country to receive the panels, according to Baltimore County Public Library, which reports they have been installed at playgrounds. The initiative is supported by Too Small To Fail, a campaign of the Opportunity Institute and the Clinton Foundation.

Before hitting the library in Baltimore County, Clinton will attend a summit at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health called "The Opioid Epidemic: From Evidence to Impact." The event starts at 10 a.m. and will be live-streamed on C-SPAN. It will feature leaders from law enforcement, public health, business, government, labor and employment.
