Body Pulled From Inner Harbor, Investigation Underway: Police

A body was pulled from the Inner Harbor this weekend, police said. The cause of death is under investigation.

BALTIMORE — A body was pulled from a Baltimore waterway Sunday morning, authorities said.

The Baltimore Police Department said it was called around 8:57 a.m. to the 400 block of Light Street for a report of a body in the water. That land address overlooks the western edge of the Inner Harbor at the head of the Patapsco River.

Officers said they found an unidentified man, and the body was recovered from the water.

Medics pronounced the victim dead, a press release said.

The victim's body was taken to the Maryland Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, where officials will identify the man and determine the cause of death.

Homicide detectives have been notified.
