Updated: Bomb Threat Made Against Court Buildings

Call reported to police Thursday morning

Update (11:10 a.m.) Via police Det. Cathy Batton, investigators found nothing to require an evacuation and "business has returned to normal."

Someone called in a bomb scare to the District Court and Circuit Court buildings in Towson on Thursday morning, police said.

The call was reported at 8:40 a.m., police spokeswoman Det. Cathy Batton said.

"We are investigating the call and the buildings are currently being screened," she said.

Bomb-sniffing dogs could be seen patrolling outside the Circuit Court building Thursday morning. As of 9:30 a.m. the buildings have not yet been evacuated, and Batton couldn't say whether they would be later.
