On The Border Targets Towson, Opening Set for October 27

World's Largest Casual Dining Mexican Restaurant Chain Brings its Famous Tex-Mex Flavors and 125 New Jobs to Baltimore County

On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina® – with border-style Mesquite-grilled fajitas, and the home of the Original Meltdown Margarita – brings a second location to the Baltimore area, with its new restaurant in Towson, while adding 125 jobs to Baltimore County.

On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina® will have a ribbon cutting ceremony on Monday, October 27 at 11:00 a.m. with the Towson Chamber of Commerce and will open its doors to guests immediately after.

We are thrilled to add 125 new jobs to the region as well.”

Located at 121 E. Joppa Road, in the newly opened Towson Square entertainment complex, the 6,827 square foot restaurant features 3,879 square feet of dining and bar space that can seat up to 248 guests, and a 493 square foot patio. The Towson location is a new prototype for the brand, featuring an open kitchen with a mesquite wood-burning grill, bright colors, rustic finishes and unique art & décor. The bar area proudly displays On The Border’s signature beer-bottle chandeliers, which have become a well-known feature and conversation piece at all On The Border restaurants.

The restaurant will also offer a spacious cantina with a broad selection of fine tequilas, draft beers, and multiple flat screens for sports viewing. The outdoor patio area seats approximately 30 guests.

“Towson will experience our new, state-of-the-art prototype. It’s a great natural look that honors the Tex-Mex roots of OTB,” continued Whitworth. “We are bringing all of our guest favorites, including Free chips & salsa with every meal, Mesquite-grilled steak fajitas made from premium outside skirt steak, ‘Guacamole Live’ made fresh-to-order at your table, homemade salsa and sauces and hand-pressed flour tortillas. OTB also has a wide and crave-able selection of margaritas including The OTB Meltdown, where we top your margarita with an extra shot of Midori, Chambord, Cointreau, Grand Marnier or your favorite tequila. We’re proud of our heritage and are eager to bring our great flavors, unique cocktails and great times to Towson.”

On The Border in Towson will be open for lunch and dinner, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. The bar will stay open one hour later. Call (443)519-2332 for more details.
