Cheezy’s Pizza has Football Shaped Pizza and Much More

Cheezy's Pizza has football shaped pizza and much more to offer, so stop in today!

Driving down Joppa Road, I've noticed electronic sign for the past couple days. I was intrigued when it looked like they were offering pizza in the shape of a football for the big game. I love festive food for any event, so when I got home I looked up their web site and found out that they are not just a regular pizza joint.

The deal for the football shaped pizza is what lured me into Cheezy’s Pizza ($16.98), but their story and community involvement is what has made me a new loyal customer.

Cheezy’s Pizza is locally owned by a family who live in Loch Raven Village. In 2007, when they were trying to open up Cheezy’s, they experienced great heartache when their second son was born premature. Here is their story according to their website:

“Ash met his wife Christine and they got married in 2003. By 2005 they had their first son Kameran and the following year they decided now was the time to follow their dreams and open their own business together… Until the unimaginable happened….Cheezys almost didn’t open its doors in May 2007, due to their second son Maison being born 3 months premature at a little over 1 lb and subsequently hospitalized for 6 months. It was extremely difficult on opening day of their “Dream” as they worried that their son may not make it through the week or even night….but during those difficult 6 months Ash and Christine “somehow” found time for making Cheezy's operate successfully and eventually brought Maison home safe.

Family and being active in the community are very important to Ash and Christine in their everyday lives both at home and in business. They strive to support the local schools and community. Cheezy's also provides support to numerous charities such as March of Dimes, our local Loch Raven Village youth baseball team, Fight Against Autism, and Light the Night Leukemia Society to name a few. Cheezys remains a family-owned, community-centered restaurant dedicated to serving the highest quality food in a casual atmosphere at reasonable prices.”

I am in total support of any local business that makes tasty football-shaped pizzas, gives back to the community and cares about family. Towson needs more local businesses just like this one.

Cheezy’s Pizza has an extensive menu that includes many different appetizer options, strombolis, calzones, wings, pasta, wraps, subs, ribs, and much more. They also offer an impressive amount of gluten–free dishes!
