Budweiser Clydesdales RSVP for Towson Christmas Tree Lighting

The annual Baltimore County Christmas tree lighting, parade will feature some extra-special four-legged guests.

This year’s Christmas tree lighting in Towson is poised to be one of the best yet.

“This year, we are adding a parade on Allegheny Avenue featuring the Budweiser Clydesdales,” according to the Towson Chamber of Commerce, which oversees the event.

And that’s not all—the lights at the 41st annual Christmas tree lighting should be even brighter this year, since they are being converted to LEDs. Towson-based energy company Zerodraft is sponsoring the tree lighting ceremony on Nov. 21.

The usual suspects will make appearances at the ceremony: Santa is coming by fire engine; and talking reindeer, the Grinch, Frosty and Mrs. Claus will also be on hand, according to the chamber.

The tree-lighting is the kickoff to Winterfest, which includes several festive activities in Towson to ring in the holidays and encourage participation in events and shopping downtown.
