Cockeysville Woman Killed Baby Before Jumping from Baltimore Parking Garage: Report

A five-month-old who died after being found in a parking garage near the Inner Harbor last month was killed by asphyxiation, according to Fox 45.

The baby’s mother, Sahar Pourrajabi of Cockeysville, was pronounced dead at 8:10 p.m. on June 23 when authorities responded to a report of a person who jumped from the garage at 55 Market Place, according to WBAL.

The baby was found inside her car in the garage and taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead, ABC 2 News reported.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner conducted an investigation into the cause and manner of the baby’s death, the results of which were released Wednesday, the Associated Press reported.

Five-month-old Sina Masoodi was strangled to death in what was ruled a homicide, according to the Associated Press.

Officials said the case was closed since the mother was the prime suspect.

Pourrajabi worked at the Timonium Children’s Center until December 2014, when she left to take care of her new baby, according to The Baltimore Sun, which reported she suffered from postpartum depression.
