Coldwell Banker Presents Donation to Hero Homes for Disabled Veterans

(RESTON, Va.) June 9, 2017 -- Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage CARES, the charitable arm of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, presented a $4,000 donation to Hero Homes, Inc., a non-profit organization that builds homes for veterans injured while serving in the U.S. military. Dave and JoAnne Adams, real estate agents, and Kelly Breeze, Reston branch vice president, presented the check to Scott Gessay, CEO, Hero Homes and builder Jason Brownell.

The gift was one of seven donations totaling $14,000 made to community organizations in the first quarter of 2017 by the CARES Foundation, which is almost entirely funded by donations from agent commissions and does not pay any salaries or overhead.

“We are thrilled to accept this award from Coldwell Banker Residential,” said Gessay. “The funds will be put to great use building homes for our disabled veterans who have fought for the preservation of our freedom.”

According to agent Dave Adams, who sponsored the donation, “We are honored to be able to make this donation to Hero Homes. The veterans Hero Homes truly serves are heroes, and we’re excited to help them achieve the security and pride that comes with homeownership.”
