Comptroller's Towson Office Getting Facelift

The office on East Joppa Road will be closed for one day in July.

Comptroller Peter Franchot has announced that his office in Towson will be closed for renovations on Monday, July 7.

It will be getting new paint and carpeting as well as two interior offices and a conference room, according to a report from the comptroller.

New signs will be installed to help guide visitors at the office, which has been there for 15 years.

According to Franchot,ย the improvements to the Towson office will make it easier to find and enable staff to work more effectively.

โ€œThe agencyโ€™s branch office staff, as well as all 1,100 employees, strive to provide the best possible service to Marylandโ€™s taxpayers,โ€ Franchot said.

The office will reopen at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 8.

The comptroller's Towsonย office is inย the Hampton Plaza at 300 E. Joppa Road, Plaza Level 1A. It is one of 12 offices he has around the state.
