Dulaney High School Alumnus to Launch into Space
The Timonium school will celebrate the launch on Wednesday.
One Baltimore County high school is particularly over the moon about NASA's launch into space on Wednesday.
Reid Wiseman, who graduated from Dulaney High School in 1993, will launch into space aboard a Soyuz spacecraft from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazsakhstan, the start of a six-month visit to the International Space Station, according to a statement from Baltimore County Public Schools. He will be the flight engineer, the statement said.
Wiseman, who has degrees from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York and Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, is a Navy aviator and veteran combat fighter pilot who graduated from the U.S. Naval Test Pilot School in 2004, the statement said.

In May 2011, Wiseman completed astronaut candidate training and this will be his first flight into space, according to a statement from Baltimore County Public Schools.
The launch is scheduled for 3:57 p.m. on Wednesday.
