Emergency Water Outage to Impact 4,000 North Baltimore Residents

Some Baltimore County residents in 21204, 21208, 21209 and 21093 zip codes may be affected.

Thousands will be without water overnight in Baltimore City and parts of Baltimore County for emergency utility repairs, according to a statement from Baltimore City’s Department of Public Works.

Officials say water will be shut off at 9 p.m. on Monday, June 29, and should be restored by 7 a.m. on Tuesday, June 30.

Two water valves will be repaired on Falls Road in the area of Lake Avenue, the statement said.

Zip codes where residents will be impacted include 21211, 21204, 21209, 21208 and 21093.

The approximate outage area is bounded by Falls Road to the west, Lake Avenue on the south, Seminary Avenue to the north and Lake Roland/Bellona Avenue/Thorton Road to the east.

Public works officials advise taking the following actions:

  • Fill a tub with water to use for flushing the toilet.
  • Put water in containers for access while water is shut off.
  • Let the water run until clear once service is restored—it may be cloudy or discolored. If this continues after 10 to 15 minutes or multiple flushes of the toilet, call 410-396-5352 for help.
