The Department of Music presents acclaimed Israeli cellist Amit Peled and pianist Alon Goldstein who will thrill the audience with 7 Variations from Magic Flute for piano and cello by Ludwig van Beethoven, and Sonata No. 2 in F Major Op. 99 by Johannes Brahms. The Haydn’s Cello Concerto in C Major will be performed by Peled and an unusual orchestral accompaniment: cello ensemble. An exciting finale by cellists from Towson University and Peabody, Cecylia Barczyk, and Amit Peled will conclude the program with Bachianas Brasileiras No. 1 by Villa-Lobos. All proceeds benefit the TU Foundation Cello Scholarship Fund.
