The Asian Arts & Culture Center presents Sonagi (rain shower in Korean) Project, a group of five young musicians led by Chang Jae-Hyo. They create modern and original works based on Korean traditional music with link to the Shamanic ceremonies. Formally from the vocal and processional traditions of Samulnori and Pansori, Sonagi musicians have developed a new movement, going back to its original emotion which created these musical traditions that linked with fertility, the strength of the elements and the cycles of time. This performance features Jang-Gu (two-head drums) and Pansori (traditional animist chants). Organized by the Surim Foundation, Seoul, Korea.
