Hip-hop music arrived in Cuba via radio and television broadcasts from Miami. During the 1980s, hip-hop culture in Cuba was mainly centered around break-dancing. Las Krudas is a Cuban hip-hop duo featuring performing artists Odaymara Cuesta and Olivia Prendes. Their feminist perspective challenges machismo and celebrates the power and beauty of women of color.
