RON CUBBISON ALUMNI EXHIBITION

Gallery Hours: Tuesday – Saturday, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.

The Deparment of Art + Design, Art History, Art Education presents an exhibition of work by alumni of former professor Ron Cubbison. Professor Cubbison, who died in 2008, taught at Towson University for thirty years, from 1966 to 1996. He was a firm believer in the individual vision of his students and in the power and impact of travel abroad as an inspiration for creativity. With this belief in mind, he created a one-time fellowship award for his former students to be used for travel abroad. The first part of choosing the award winners is a juried exhibition of work by his former students. The two jurors are artists Mary Ann Krutsick and Fran Bullock. They will next choose the Towson alumni artists to receive the travel awards from those whose works are included in the exhibition. Announcements of the winners will be made at the opening reception.
