Williams’ classic play, in a production by the Towson University Department of Theatre Arts, follows the struggles of a Depression-era St. Louis family—consisting of a tortured artist, his overbearing mother, and his  delectate  but disturbed sister—and their efforts to find meaning and direction for their lives. Full of poetry and pathos, The Glass Menagerie is one of the most celebrated plays of the American theatre, and is as touching today as when it premiered 67 years ago.  The Thursday, October 18th performance benefits the Towson University Foundation.
