First Stop: Marshy Point Nature Center

On Saturday, August 24, our librarians will host a lively discussion of The River by Peter Heller at the Marshy Point Nature Center. USA Today describes the book as a “poetic and unnerving wilderness thriller.” The River is a tale about friendship, survival and the power of nature. Following the discussion, participants can enjoy a free guided canoe trip led by a park naturalist or take a self-guided walk on one of Marshy Point’s beautiful nature trails. As this is an outdoor event, please bring bug spray.
